With Gary nevilles testimonial coming up i was wondering how many players from that United era are left. Theres the ginger one aka Scholes and the super injunction one . . . . . . erhhh Bryan Briggs lol. I kinda struggle after that.

A good final day of the season very exciting, Ancelotti sacked as expected, shame Blackpool went down i would have liked them to stay up as they entertain and try to win games hopefully they will be back in a year. Expected Birmingham to go down as they don't score goals. well done Wigan on stopping up and i'm sure combomax is celebrating with a few beers.

Not the easiest of starts for us with Southampton away and Middlesbro at home, but the last time our first home fixture came out against 'Boro and our last home fixture against Leicester,we won the old Second Division!Maybe an omen? Thumbsup

Hell of a result Jack!
I have to ask Simon Grayson this question however! How can you start Ramon Nunez 3 times this season where he scores 5 goals in those games and then drop him for the next game!He only kept his place against Hull City because of suspensions to 2 of our midfielders! Please think carefully about this,Simon! Thumbsup

I thought it might be a better idea than to have just one football icon in the postbit we could each have the icon of the team we support.

Let me know who your team is and I'll make it so.

I know combomax - wigan, smg - leeds

Not convinced by Englands performance tonight. Same old England. Man Utd have upgraded their game recently to try and near the Barcelona/Spain style but England? I think not. I'm going to listen to some Smiths/Joy Division tonight to prepare me for the future of the national team's performances against the big teams.

Star RE: The Football Thread
What an absolute disgrace to football Balotelli is, he should be banned for life deliberately stamping on another professionals head is disgusting. no room for that behaviour in society let alone a football pitch.

As for Howard Webb he should be sacked and never allowed to referee a football match of any kind ever again. He is the only ref who seems to think it is ok for another footballer to kick another in the head, remember the World Cup Final? De Jong karate kicked on that spaniard in the chest and Howard Webb saw nothing wrong?

One can only assume Howard Webb left the Police because he didn't see kicking someone else in the chest or stamping on another persons head as a criminal offence.

Hope the FA do something right for once and sack him.
