One down one to go (Venus out). I used to like them until they wanted £200K to attend a kids charity event.

If Murray is going to win a Slam then this is his best chance (closely followed by the Aussie Open). Not good enough on clay and too much pressure on him to win Wimbledon.

Yes he has a big chance but I'm worried this time it will be Djokovic who will be his undoing.

I must also add I'm delighted to see the back of the Russian screaming banshee known above terrafirma as Sharapova from this years open. Even better that she was beaten by an Italian. When I was young I fell in love with Italy and their women.

I hang my head in shame. I have to confess that the grunts from the female tennis players turns me on. Well, at least I am honest about it. Anybody else share my thoughts?

I am genuinely interested in women's tennis and find I can't watch at least half of them for the ridiculous screaming and screeching (grunts?..I wish).
For those that are turned on by the grunts why not record the audio from a few games and save on any sports channel subscriptions you may have. It's not like it's going to matter what the score was or anything as trivial as that and I'm sure all of Sharapova's (etc) games sound exactly the fucking same.

Like Jack I find the grunting/screaming bloody annoying. Still, if the grunting floats your boat Goz here's the current top three.

3rd Monica Seles (93.2 decibels)

2nd Maria Sharapova (101 decibels)

1st Michelle Larcher de Brito (109 decibels)

To put the leader in perspective a Pneumatic drill peaks at 125 decibels and a lion in full roar is 110 decibels.

Thanks roedma for the technical info. It is a pity we cannot get sound on this site so that when a pic of Miss Sharapove is posted we could hear her grunt. I wonder if Jack would consider it. Could be a winner. The first fake site with sound.

Just to put the record straight, I prefer Miss Sharapova bending over to hearing her grunt when serving.

It would be very easy produce a montage of Sharapova fakes with accompanying audio of her screeching. Not by me though, time is too precious. I need every second I have to wonder where it's going.

Quick addition to the last post but thinking about it there have been fakes with audio posted on here. I'm really lazy and have never listened to them. I remember one of them was Carol Vorderman.

Anyone going to the NFL game in London this weekend? Chicago vs tampa bay. I'll be there in my bears jersey getting drunk and shouting at Jay Cutler.
Gotta be some american football fans on here, no?

Won't be going but will be watching it (I'm sure Sky or one of the other channels is showing it). Not a big American Football fan but I do take in the odd game throughout the season. Prefer Baseball out of all the US sports.
