At the risk of being controversial I thought I'd start a proper rugby thread i.e. Rugby League!I've noticed a smattering of northern members from Lancashire and Yorkshire so please declare your allegiances!
I'm a Rhinos fan myself and after a crap start to the season we're beginning to improve.As current champions we need to! ![]() About Eddie Gray "When he plays on snow, he doesn't leave any footprints". Don Revie. |

I was brought up in city with two Rugby League clubs as well as a football club (not many options to guess at there....) and though I've always preferred football and supported Hull City since forever, when it's a question of Rugby League I'd always favour Hull Kingston Rovers. That's because I was born east of the River Hull, west of the river is Hull FC.

This has got to be one of the best games of rugby league I've ever seen (And we won as well!).

Although a southern, I support the London team via it changes from Fulham to Crusaders, to Broncos to he Quins. Whilst it nice to be developing London talents and not employing a heavy Aussie team, two of our young and future stars have gone north. With Brian going back north, who do you think will be our next coach. I have seen the other (north) london side in basically division 4 but I live well south of london.

I don't think it will be Brian McLennan!!To be serious though,whoever gets the job will have a huge task on their hands and it probably won't be resolved until after the play-offs.

Cant Wait... The new season starts on saturday.... Come On Wigan, another season like last will do just fine. any1 else a rugby league fan and who do u support?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Cardiff's Millennium Stadium will host all seven of the 2011 Super League season's opening fixtures. The season will kick off on the weekend of 12 and 13 February, with all the games being played under the stadium's closed roof. The decision to start the season in Cardiff marks the return of the Magic Weekend to the Welsh capital after a two-year absence. The event has been hosted for the last two years in Edinburgh at Murrayfield. However, attendances were down at this season's weekend in May, prompting the Rugby Football League to review the format. And, following consultation with clubs and fans, they have chosen to take it back to Cardiff, which hosted the first two Magic Weekends in 2007 and 2008, where the ability to play under a roof means spectators will be able to watch in comfort. Super League's director of events and projects, Sally Bolton, said: "The Millennium Stadium has hosted some memorable rugby league matches and I'm sure supporters of every club will not want to miss out on what promises to be a truly magical weekend. "The stadium's closed roof means that fans can watch all seven games in comfort over what I'm sure will be two days that will prove to be the highlights of the 2011 sporting calendar. "The clubs were very keen on continuing with Magic Weekend and much of the letters we got from fans was that as much as they loved the event, they missed the Millennium Stadium. "We have some very happy memories of the last two years at Murrayfield and would like to extend our thanks to the Scottish Rugby Union for their support and assistance. "However we have listened to what the clubs and fans wanted and are looking forward to putting together a spectacular opening to the new season at Millennium Stadium next February." -------Please Don't Forget To Click Thank You ------- ![]() combomax, proud to be a member of FBBF - The FakeBritBabes Forum since Sep 2010. |
